Encyclopedia “Sofia”
Encyclopedia “Sofia” is the first specialized encyclopedia dedicated to the capital of Bulgaria. The bilingual color album edition includes 450 alphabetical articles, thematic overviews of the nature, historical and cultural development of the city, walks through iconic Sofia streets, boulevards and squares. The selected information aims to promote the history and culture of Sofia, one of the oldest cities in Europe. It is saturated with interesting historical facts and is supplemented with rich illustrative material of about 700 photographs, maps and diagrams. It is intended for a wide range of readers, for guests of Sofia and for inquisitive Sofia residents who want to learn more about their city. The content was prepared by the team of authors Tania Kadiyska, Elena Blazheva and Mariana Savova and was realized by the team of the Scientific Information Center “Bulgarian Encyclopedia” with the support of the “Culture” Program of Sofia Municipality. Design and printing are the work of Trud publishing house.
