The sixtieth anniversary of the Scientific Information Center “Bulgarian Encyclopedia” – BAS was celebrated with a series of public events in our country and abroad. An exhibition “Knowledge and encyclopedias” of editions of the “Bulgarian Encyclopedia” was held in Targovishte together with the “Peter Stupov” Regional Library. The round anniversary was also celebrated with the presentation of the newly published, supplemented and revised encyclopedia “Calendar Holidays and Customs of the Bulgarians” (Academic Publishing House “Prof. Marin Drinov”, 2015) in the “Pencho Slaveykov” Regional Library, Varna. The leading editor of the book, Vera Marinkova, emphasized the application “Traditional Holiday Table” with selected recipes for preparing basic holiday dishes. The premiere was a side event in the program of a scientific conference with international participation “Color and Food” (October 9-11, 2015). At the very end of the year, an exhibition of “Bulgarian Encyclopedia” took place in the Central Foyer of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
