TWO VOLUME AGRICULTURAL ENCYCLOPEDIA
The Agricultural Encyclopedia includes articles from all agricultural sciences, branches and sub-branches, as well as from sciences that are closely related to agriculture. Issues from the food industry, forestry, hydrotechnics and land reclamation are considered. Almost all plant and animal species, objects of agriculture and the more famous forest trees and shrubs are represented. Pests of agricultural and forest crops, methods and means of combating them are described. The volume of the reference edition is about 9,000 terms that are used in the field of agriculture. The content is supplemented with many black-and-white and color illustrations, maps, drawings and tables that illustrate the text of the articles. The two volumes of the publication were realized by the team of the Scientific Information Center “Bulgarian Encyclopedia” at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and a team of scientists under the leadership of Academician Hr. Daskalov (item I) and Academician K. Bratanov (item II) in partnership with academic publishing house “Prof. Marin Drinov”.
