SPECIALIZED ENCYCLOPEDIA OF MEDICINAL PLANTS IN BULGARIA
The specialized encyclopedia of medicinal plants in Bulgaria covers information on the most common plant species that are used in pharmacy and folk medicine. The publication offers thematic articles on over 400 plant species with up-to-date scientific information on their chemical composition and medicinal effects. The texts are supplemented with rich illustrative material. The development of the texts and reference supplements is the work of a team of authors from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Medical University and from the BAS (Institute of Botany, Institute of Organic Chemistry with a Phytochemistry Center, Institute of Physiology) under the chief editorship of Prof. Pharm. n. St. Nikolov. The edition was realized by the Scientific Information Center “Bulgarian Encyclopedia” at the BAS and the book publishing house “Trud”. The encyclopedia is intended for doctors, pharmacists, biologists and a wide range of readers.
